Jessica Fernandes

RN, BSN, CCM

Jessica Fernandes is a Registered Nurse with ten years of nursing experience after graduating from the University of Central Florida’s Accelerated Nursing Program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She also obtained a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from the University of Central Florida. She currently holds a Multistate Nursing License.

She began her nursing career at Advent Health in Altamonte Springs, Florida where she focused her training in neurology, post-surgical, and multi-system progressive care. During her almost six years at Advent Health, she precepted newly hired nurses and students and was selected as charge nurse to lead the floor. Jessica then became the Assistant Nurse Manager focusing on management and team leadership in the orthopedic and multi-system progressive care department.

In 2017, Jessica moved out the acute care setting to work in home health care with Suncrest Home Health in Georgia following a family relocation. There she was initially responsible for physical assessment evaluations and patient and family education, before spending over two years as the Clinical Manager responsible for managing the plan of care and case management of all patients.

In 2020, Jessica joined Exceptional Case Services as a Medical Consultant to advance her career in case management with a primary focus on workers compensation. Since that time, she has become proficient in cardiac presumption cases, catastrophic and brain injury cases, as well as longshore.

She has achieved the Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential, and is pursuing her board certification in case management. She is a member of the Workers Compensation Claims Professionals (WCCP).
