Kim Sobol, RN is a Certified Case Manager with over 30 years experience in the medical field with emphasis on Orthopedics and more than 15 years’ experience as a Field Case Manager focusing on Workers’ Compensation and longshore. She was licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin after receiving an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. Following graduation, Ms. Sobol relocated to sunny Florida.

Kim began her nursing career at Baptist Medical Center – Downtown in 1990. She worked on the Orthopedic floor for 10 years. She initially started as a staff nurse and within 5 years had advanced her position to Nurse Manager. She served as nurse manager for the next 5 years managing all aspects of the orthopedic unit. She began working for Concentra Integrated Services in 2000 as a case manager in the Jacksonville area until late 2001.

In 2001, Kim transferred to South Florida due to her husband’s relocation. She worked at Memorial Medical Center in Hollywood, FL as a staff nurse, managing 6 to 7 patients on an Ortho/Neuro trauma unit for approximately 7 years, until 2007, when her family relocated back to the Jacksonville area. Ms. Sobol returned to work for Baptist Medical Center at the South location. Ms. Sobol’s experience continued the Orthopedic-Telemetry unit until she made the transition into Workers Compensation Case Management in 2011.

Ms. Sobol worked as a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager for Exceptional Case Services and then Aetna from 2011 to 2016. Ms. Sobol achieved her Certified Case Management credential in 2014. Kim returned to the Exceptional Case Services, Inc. team in 2016 as a Medical Consultant, to continue her Workers Compensation case management career. She is proficient in cardiac presumption cases with municipalities.
